- Elegibility: Open to all San Diego City and County residents.a
Handicaps accepted from any organized golf club rated under the SCGA or USGA
index system. Valid and up-to-date index cards for May 1999 will be
verified by the Tournament Committee prior to play. In addition, handicap is
based on Low Index (LI) of Year as of May 1999. See below for individual
division requirements.
- Entry Deadline: May 24th, 1999 All entries are filled on a "first
come, first serve" basis. Waiting lists will be established after
flights are filled.
- Tournament Dates:
- Men's Open and Championship: June 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th.
All rounds are 6:45am shotgun starts.
- Senior/Super Senior: June 8th, 9th, and 11th.
Shotgun start only on June 11th (at 7:00am).
- NOTE: You must submit one check for each tournament entered.
- Divisions:
- Men's Championship:
- Minimum age: 18 years old (by June 5th, 1999).
- Low Gross (i.e., played at scratch).
- Maximum USGA Low Index: 2.5
- Entry Fee: $120 (Includes greens fees, awards and prizes).
- Field: 120 players (cut to 50% of the field after 36 holes)
- Course Rotation: This flight will be held entirely at Torrey
Pines, North and South courses.
- Men's Open:
- Minimum age: 18 years old (by June 5th, 1999).
- Six handicap flights.
- Maximum USGA Low Index: 16.0.
- Entry Fee: $120 (Includes greens fees, awards and prizes).
- Field: 40 players per flight (cut to 50% of the field plus
ties after 36 holes).
- Senior:
- Minimiun Age: 50 (by June 5th, 1999).
- Championship Flight Maximum USGA Low Index: 3.2
- Five Handicap Flights. Maximum USGA Low Index: 24.0
- Cut to 50% of the field plus after 36 holes.
- Entry Fee: $100 (Includes greens fees, awards and
prizes. Carts are NOT included).
- Super Senior:
- Minimiun Age: 70 (by June 5th, 1999)
- Maximum USGA Index: 28.0
- Cut to 50% of the field plus after 36 holes.
- Entry Fee: $100 (Includes greens fees, awards and
prizes. Carts are NOT included).
- Format, Pairings, and Starting Times: This information will be
posted at the Torrey Pines and Balboa Park Golf Courses on Friday, May 28th by
10:00am. For pairings information call 452-3226 or 552-1784.
- Golf cart reservations are recommended. Players are responsible for
their own golf cart reservations.
