2007 World Golf Championships - Accenture Match Play Championship
February 19 - 25, 2007 - The Gallery Golf Club at Dove Mountain, Tucson, Arizona U.S.A
San Diego and the La Costa Resort & Spa have said goodbye to the Accenture Match Play Championship. The World Golf Championship series is staged for the first time in the desert about 20 miles outside of Tucson, AZ at The Gallery Golf Club at Dove Mountain. This golf course was designed by John Fought and is a # 1 rated golf course by Golf Digest Magazine. The format remains the same...five days of competition between the best 64 available golfers from the Official World Golf Ranking. This year's purse is $ 7.5 million. As is customary with most golf tournaments, the proceeds of this tournament will be divided amongst the local chapter of The First Tee and other local and regional charities.
