Format, Instructions and Local Rules
- Field: The field will be divided in four flights. The
Low Gross will also receive a prize. Ties for first place will be broken
via card-off (USGA, Rules of Golf).
- Format: This format gives points per hole, according to the score
on each hole in relation to par. The player with the most accumulated
points wins:
| Double-Bogey or More: | -3 points |
| Bogey: | -1 point |
| Par: | 0 points |
| Birdie: | +2 points |
| Eagle: | +5 points |
| Double-Eagle: | +8 points |
- Slow Play: There will be marshalls patrolling the course to
ensure that speed of play is maintained. A foursome that is out of position
(par-3: green in front is open when your group gets to the tee; par-4:
your group fails to leave the tee before the group in front clears the green;
par-5: the group in front
is on the green when you get to the tee), will be warned once. If
the group fails to
catch up, at the discretion of the marshall, each member of the foursome
will receive a
2-stroke penalty for the hole they are playing at the time. Play ready
golf!
- Scoring: Write your gross score for the hole, and in the
second line write the amount of points obtained according to your net
score for the hole ("net points"). You may, additionally, write down your
"gross points", if you think you'll be competing for Low Gross prizes.
- Pick-Up: Yes, pick up if you already are at NET double-bogey
for the hole. Write down on the score card the GROSS score you MOST LIKELY
would have had, give yourself -3 points and move on. This simple procedure
will help speed up play. Thank you.
- Posting: Post your score at the end of your round. It's a
"REGULAR" posting, NOT "tournament" posting.
